Romans 12:1-2 – Be transformed by the renewal of your minds, by Rev. Ralph Adams.

Once again, it is my pleasure to preach to you this morning.  My sincere prayer is that the Lord will use my words to strengthen your faith and to further His kingdom.

The text for this sermon is Romans 12:1-2 which I will read again:

 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

The title for this sermon is ‘BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND.’

‘People of God, let me now ask, ‘Do you realize, that every minute of every day, we’re engaged in a serious mental struggle?’

We’re immersed in a sea of opinions that are largely ambivalent towards— that is to say, are at odds with— our Christian faith.   Much of the talk we hear… many of the ideas we’re presented with… most of the media images that flash past our eyes… are all generated by people who are either indifferent to the gospel of Jesus Christ, or are hostile to it.
